Change in sample rates
SCIGN CB,
In response to the recent earthquakes in southern California
(including the 5.3 magnitude earthquake this afternoon near Yucaipa),
we've increased the sample rate of the real-time SCIGN stations in
Riverside and Imperial counties to 2 Hz, the maximum sampling rate of
the Z12 receivers. San Diego and Orange county sites are still at 1
Hz. The following stations are affected: AZRY, COTD, CRRS, DHLG,
DVLE, GLRS, KYVW, PIN1, PIN2, PSAP, SLMS, USGC,WIDC.
Also, if there are no objections we plan to install two 20 Hz Leica
GPS1200 receivers at PIN1 and PIN2 next week, and of course, sample
them at the maximum rate.
Despite rumors to the contrary, SCIGN is still alive and kicking. A
heads up: a few of us on the EC will be requesting an urgent meeting
of CB meeting, to be held in the next few weeks.
Cheers,
-- Yehuda
